Digital Infinity 3d Printed Earrings

18.00

Crafted with a gold-tone ring trapped in a diamond grid in TWO varieties:

natural - an unbleached white made from PLA (polylactic acid, a plant-based, biodegradable material); and

t-glase - a semi-transparent white polymer that subtly shimmers light off its printed layers.

Digital Infinity earrings are lightweight, about 2g each. Each earring is made in a single 3d print, paused to insert the ring, and then finished with nickel-free hardware.

Including the earring wire hook, drop length is 2 1/8" by 7/8" wide.

Due to the nature of the fused deposition modeling technology (FDM) of the 3d printer used, you will see layers in the plastic, sometimes depositing with slight variations. This is a result of a process which cannot be repeated with the precision and consistency of a mass-produced, injection-molded item. The beauty of 3d printing is that it can allow the creation of geometries that cannot exist from an injection-mold process; in fact, even higher-precision 3d printing technologies (e.g., laser, stereolithography) may not allow for the inclusion of an additional, integrated part as you see in this design. (If there is such an example of this elsewhere, let me know as I'd love to check it out!)
